Cross-Training for Runners

The abdominal and low back muscles that make up your CORE are an integral component in preventing low back pain and more serious injuries. A strong core is especially important to the athlete and will help to optimize athletic performance. Your trainer will show you evidence-based exercises to improve your core strength. Proper form is especially important in working the core to assure you are strengthening specific muscles without injuring your back or working already over-used muscles.
